1988-90 purple label pressing with smaller Capitol logo at the top, rim text surrounding most of the label. No barcode.

This 1988 re-issue was pressed at the same time Capitol issued the "C1" re-issue series of the US Capitol-released Beatles albums, but for some reason they kept the catalog # as the 1979 re-issue.

Capitol still used the existing catalog # (SW-11922) even though the CD had been issued as #46447 in 1987, and does not have a barcode yet at this point. Capitol would re-issue it again on vinyl in 1995 as 46447, with a barcode.

This was pressed at Specialty Record Corporation (The large S surrounding R and C stamped in the run-out, see photo), also identified by smooth indent/notch approx 3/4" from edge of label, along with the 1" diameter ring at the center, and a glossy finish. Both sides also are stamped MASTERED BY CAPITOL in the run-outs.

The earlier 1979 purple label pressings were pressed by Capitol, and has the 1" inner ring but without the smooth indentation, no SRC stamp and a dull label finish. Here is a link to that pressing: The Beatles - Let It Be

Comes with custom inner sleeve that has the photos that were on the inside of the original 1970 gatefold issue plus a 22" x 22" poster of the cover (see photos)

Printed on posterboard stock.

No longer a gatefold jacket. Back cover is the same as the previous pressings, with the Capitol oval and EMI box logos with accompanying text at the bottom.
