Originally composed and arranged by Charles Mingus to be performed at the Newport Jazz Festival in 1965, but never performed. Transcribed and orchestrated by Sy Johnson.

Spontaneously composed by Chazz Mingus. Transcribed by Hub Miller, orchestrated by Alan Raph.

DON'T BE AFRAID, THE CLOWN'S AFRAID TOO
A ten melody fugue composed and arranged by Charles Mingus. Transcribed and orchestrated by Sy Johnson. The opening lines of Snooky Young's trumpet solo is a Hobart Dotson trumpet solo as he had played it in a live performance and is dedicated by Charles Mingus to Hobart Dotson's widow and children.
