VUAP is the artist and NAHRADNI OBAL means it substitute cover. They used LP cover from Vojta Kidak Tomasko - who is silly tramp folk musician.. made hole in it and re-used it..

Also "Potlach" is a word used for the meetings of "tramps" - people who like nature, go out with guitars, build tents and sing stupid love songs:)) this was very popular activity in CZ since 20s. . .

I dont know if they used the word POTLACH for this release or other releases.. but they turned it into joke.. and its quite funny.. the comparison of old "tramps" making fire, toasting some ham or potatoes and playing folk guitar songs in the nature... and in the 90s with the rise of techno culture young people went to deep woods but switched guitars for massive soundsystems took some acid and meet on much "higher" level.

One of the legendary "twin" vinyls. VUAP from Strahov. You need both to rule the "vuap" machine. The sound of "fastracker" (or maybe impuls or digitracker) is quite noticeable on both sides. The low sample rates makes the sound flappy, quite flat ... But we don't care. This is history of czech tekno scene. Magion point. So we really like the repetetive music/sound patterns, computerish claps and hi-hats, falt beats, tries of synths ... definetely maybe rubbish from time distance ... , but for any of czech dj ravers, this is pure gold tune. Starting today (28.10.2010) even more, because the only author is no longer with us. R.I.P. VUAP ... we will miss you, but every time someone spin your shit again, you will be with us again ...
